Help Article | How to send media
- Open an individual or group chat.
- Tap Attach. Then, tap:
- Camera to take a new photo or video with your camera. Note: Videos that are recorded using WhatsApp are limited to 16MB.
- Photo & Video Library to select a photo or video from your iPhone's Photos or albums. After selecting a photo or video, tap Addat the bottom left to select multiple photos or videos at once.
- Document to select a document from iCloud Drive or other apps such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. Note: Sending a document is only available for users on iOS 12 and newer. The maximum allowed file size is 2GB.
- Location to send your location or a nearby place.
- Contact to send the information of a contact. By default, all details stored in the phone's address book for the selected contact will be shared. Tap items on the Share Contacts screen to deselect information that you don't want shared.
- You can also add captions to photos and videos. Switch between photos to add captions to each one.
- Tap Send.
- Open an individual or group chat.
- Tap and hold the type of message you wish to forward, then tap Forward. You can select multiple messages.
- Tap Forward.
- Choose the chat you wish to forward the message to then tap Forward.
