Chapter 426: One Person, Two Roles, and the Chaotic Demon World (1)
Cale had a lot he wanted to say to Clopeh Sekka.
“Ahem, I have a lot to talk to you about—”
“Yes, I have much to say as well.”
“!”
Clopeh’s unhesitating response made Cale suddenly want to drop the topic.
“Hm.”
Cale hesitated.
But—
“He’s the right person for this.”
Ancient Dragon Eruhaben patted Cale’s shoulder.
“I think so too.”
Heavenly Demon placed a firm hand on Cale’s other shoulder.
Choi Han, looking conflicted, still gave a small nod.
“Hm?”
“Huh?”
On and Hong tilted their heads in confusion.
Raon flapped his wings and eagerly explained:
“Our youngest, Eden Miru, needs his birth ceremony held two more times in the Demon World!”
“!!”
The pupils of the Dragon-half Blood Eden Miru trembled.
So did On’s.
Hong’s eyes, however, sparkled with curiosity.
“I wanna know if it’s gonna be two more cool things!”
Raon answered, wings fluttering even harder:
“It’s not exactly a birth ceremony, but it has to be big enough to fool the Demon King and the entire Demon World!”
“I really wanna know what those two things are!”
Raon grinned widely.
Before they returned to the Seventh Evil, Cale’s group had held a long discussion on how to divert the wanderers’ attention.
They eventually reached a conclusion.
Raon neatly summarized that entire chaotic conversation in two sentences:
“One is the God of Chaos Church conquering the Demon World!”
“Huh?”
Eden Miru flapped his tiny wings in disbelief.
“And the other one is our human conquering the Demon World!”
“Ha.”
Eden Miru let out a dry scoff.
He looked toward Ancient Dragon Eruhaben, as if asking whether this was really happening.
“…”
But the Ancient Dragon only smiled and nodded.
Eden Miru turned to Cale.
Swish.
Cale averted his gaze, muttering under his breath,
“…It’s not real. It’s just acting. Acting!”
He emphasized the word acting as if his life depended on it.
He hurriedly added:
“It’s not a real fight, just exaggerated acting, and we’ll slip away at the last moment!”
He declared with as much confidence as he could muster:
“It’s really a simple plan!”
While avoiding Eden Miru’s gaze, Cale felt a sudden chill.
He looked up—and flinched.
“!”
Clopeh Sekka was already standing right in front of him.
“Cale-nim.”
His expression was solemn.
“You said exaggerated acting, correct?”
“Y-Yeah?”
Not real.
Just exaggerated acting.
“This time, I can use the power of the God of Chaos’s Saint. We’ll formally stage the God of Chaos Church targeting the Demon World.”
Cale had already acted as the secret force Arm of the God of Chaos Church, planting seeds inside the Demon World.
The Hunters wouldn’t find it suspicious, because the God of Chaos Church had already fooled them in the New World by attempting to summon the God of Chaos; they didn’t have the luxury to question it deeply.
“On the other hand, I’ll personally take the stage and turn the Demon World upside down, pretending we’re starting a war with it.”
When the wanderer twins reported everything to the Five-Colored Blood Family, Cale’s group would appear in the Demon World simultaneously.
“This way, the Five-Colored Blood Family’s Hunters will have no choice but to come to the Demon World to find us.”
They wouldn’t find anyone in the game.
Alberu and Rosalyn would evacuate the Dark Elves, then vanish from the New World with the other companions and head to Earth 3 to corner the Transparent Blood Family.
This way, the New World will—
Cale turned to Eden Miru.
Flap.
Eden Miru’s tiny wings fluttered adorably, but his eyes were full of disbelief and exhaustion.
Cale spoke calmly:
“For now, the New World is in your hands.”
Of course, the ferocious Dark Bear, the Dark Phantom Count Lupe, and Pope Cassilia would assist.
But the most reliable among them was the eldest and most experienced—Eden Miru.
“…”
Eden Miru didn’t fully understand, yet hearing Cale entrust the New World to him stirred something complicated inside.
“What, not confident?”
Cale asked with a stern expression.
Eden Miru scoffed.
“Of course I’m confident.”
When the chubby-bellied baby dragon answered in that mocking tone, Cale felt something strange—but decided to ignore it.
He also pretended not to notice the cheeks that looked even softer than Raon’s.
How much did the kids feed this guy?
Eden Miru.
How much did they feed him to make him this round?
Cale had no idea that former Dragon Lord Sheritt, On, and Hong had been feeding Eden Miru as generously as they fed Raon.
Nor did he know that the residents of the Seventh Evil Territory adored their new lord—the Light Dragon Eden Miru—like he was a living idol.
The amount of food they offered him could have sustained the entire Seventh Evil Territory.
[Our boss is too cute!]
[Our adorable boss! Look at him! Born with light!]
[That holy, precious appearance! He must stay cute and holy forever!]
[The baby has to eat well, sleep well, and play well! Don’t let the boss do anything hard!]
Of course, Eden Miru was unaware of this.
The ferocious Dark Bear had completely blocked all such news.
Eden Miru simply couldn’t reject the endless feeding, so he ate until satisfied and slept without a worry in the world.
“Then I’ll leave it to you.”
Eden Miru didn’t respond, only showing a stiff expression.
Flap, flap, flap!
Of course, his tiny wings flapped even more energetically.
Seeing this, Cale gave a bewildered look… but Eden Miru didn’t notice.
He simply stood firm as the leader of the Seventh Evil.
“Hm. Anyway.”
Cale ignored Eden Miru’s demeanor.
He wondered how to handle this.
He turned to Clopeh Sekka and spoke.
“You said you saw what happened at the God of Chaos’s holy site, so I’ll tell you what you need to do.”
“Hm.”
Clopeh listened with obedient seriousness.
“Because we exposed the God of Chaos Church, everyone is insisting we make this grand.
We’re going to stir up the entire Demon World at the same time, and these companions will join in.”
Choi Han.
Heavenly Demon.
Eruhaben.
All of them would wreak havoc across the Demon World together.
“I need you to help plan it, ensuring our actions are grand enough to draw the enemy’s attention.”
Cale paused here.
“Heh.”
He turned toward Clopeh.
Clopeh smiled faintly.
“Just let it flow naturally.”
“…Hm?”
Cale couldn’t hide the disbelief on his face.
“No, this time it needs to be more exaggerated than usual. And it’s acting.”
“Yes. Just let it flow naturally.”
Cale stared at him.
…That was clearly not the same kind of natural he was talking about.
“Ha—”
Cale was speechless.
But Clopeh continued calmly:
“Everyone can act freely, and it’ll come together naturally.”
…Hm?
…What?
…Huh?
The Heavenly Demon, Eruhaben, and Choi Han all looked doubtful.
But Clopeh simply smiled.
“He’s right.”
Eden Miru agreed without hesitation.
“Exactly.”
On nodded as well.
Clopeh continued, still smiling calmly:
“However…”
His expression shifted into something unreadable.
“When staging the God of Chaos Church conquering the Demon World, we need to be careful with certain details.”
Clopeh had not missed a single word Cale said.
‘It’s not a real fight, just exaggerated acting, and we’ll slip away at the last moment!’
To anyone normal, that sounded reassuring.
But to Clopeh Sekka—
In his eyes, Cale’s group excelled at turning a needle’s eye into a sinkhole.
If they act freely, the Demon World truly will be turned upside down.
Cale-nim had said to act exaggeratedly.
To the enemies in the Demon World—
It might be a disaster.
Cale Henituse descending upon the Demon World…
That alone was enough to be considered a catastrophe.
But there is one thing to keep in mind.
Clopeh immediately understood the most important point.
Cale-nim excels at everything he does.
He wasn’t omnipotent, but somehow, he succeeded perfectly from the start in whatever he attempted.
There’s no need to worry much about the aftermath when Cale-nim takes the stage.
However, the actions of the God of Chaos Church were another story altogether.
If the God of Chaos Church’s performance is too convincing, something troublesome might happen.
Somehow, a new chaotic cult faction could accidentally emerge in the Demon World.
The demons might proclaim they were following a future Demon King who would one day appear.
Such people might turn to worship the God of Chaos.
No—more precisely:
They’ll worship Cale-nim, who plays the Saint of the God of Chaos.
At that moment, a voice transmission reached Clopeh’s ear:
– Looks like you’ve noticed the blind spot.
Clopeh’s gaze shifted past Cale’s shoulder.
Behind Cale stood Eruhaben and the Heavenly Demon.
When their eyes met, Eruhaben regarded him with a cold stare.
Clopeh averted his gaze.
Yes… that Ancient Dragon probably doesn’t realize.
The dragon didn’t grasp the potential danger in this operation.
Dragons were naturally pure beings.
Clopeh looked toward the one who had spoken.
Heavenly Demon.
The man who gained an aura before Choi Han—yet achieved his own Unique Power before him as well.
The ruler of the Demon Cult and—
A god.
To his followers, he was not a leader but a god.
Because he had experienced that kind of blind faith himself, he recognized the danger immediately.
And so—of course—
he was the first to notice the blind spot.
– Cale Henituse’s actions might allow the God of Chaos Church to spread in the Demon World.
Heavenly Demon met Clopeh’s eyes and sent another transmission.
– Cale Henituse has the power to draw people in. His actions will always create something good.
Cale Henituse would enter the Demon World under the banner of the God of Chaos Church…
but he wouldn’t oppress the demons.
If anything, he would probably do something that helped them.
That was simply how he moved.
Whether intentional or not, Cale Henituse was bound to accomplish another heroic feat.
The probability of that is 100%.
Clopeh was certain.
– Clopeh Sekka.
He already knew what the Heavenly Demon intended to say.
– We can’t allow the God of Chaos Church to gain strength because of Cale Henituse’s actions.
Smirk~
Clopeh’s lips curved upward.
As expected of the Demon Cult’s leader.
Heavenly Demon sent another transmission.
– You must prevent that. That’s why I recommended you.
In the Heavenly Demon’s judgment, no one in Cale’s group was more suited for this than Clopeh Sekka.
He had recommended Clopeh because only he could stop the God of Chaos Church from taking root in the Demon World.
Smile~
Clopeh’s smile widened.
“You can trust and rely on me.”
He spoke his true feelings.
Yes.
You can trust me. Leave everything to me.
The God of Chaos Church would never grow.
Whatever Cale did in the Demon World—whether acts of compensation or deeds mistaken for worship—would be—
Entirely Cale-nim’s!
No one else would take what belonged to Cale-nim.
Everything that belonged to Cale-nim would come back to him.
For Clopeh Sekka, that was easy.
“Heh.”
Everything belonged to Cale-nim.
Clopeh let out a quiet, satisfied chuckle.
Meanwhile—
What the—
Cale was terrified.
Why is this guy laughing at thin air?
Clopeh genuinely scared him.
Even Ron felt less intimidating at this point.
Hm.
Before heading to the Demon World, they would stop by Aipotu to meet Ron and Beacrox.
Cale planned to take both of them along.
Thinking of those two he hadn’t seen in a while, Cale felt a complicated mix of emotions.
No—more accurately, discomfort.
But that thought was cut short.
“I believe in you.”
…Huh?
Cale blinked.
He didn’t know what Clopeh meant—
What does he mean?
Cale’s pupils trembled.
“Everything will go smoothly this time.”
Everything related to Cale-nim belonged to Cale-nim.
“What you believe in will surely come to pass.”
Clopeh sounded completely certain.
“Heh.”
Clopeh kept smiling, and Cale quietly took a step back.
He turned to Eden Miru.
“We’re heading to Aipotu first.”
“Oh, good. Let’s go quickly.”
Eden Miru gave Clopeh a brief glance, then urged Cale forward.
“Take him and go.”
He wants Cale to move on quickly — probably because Clopeh is acting strange again.
Cale felt conflicted but left with Clopeh anyway.
* * *
Ding!
When they arrived in Aipotu, Cale stepped into the land once ruled by the Purple Blood Family and dragons.
A message came through a video communication device.
<The God of Chaos Church has appeared in the Demon World?>
“What’s this now?”
Cale frowned.
“Heh, heh.”
Clopeh let out a soft laugh.
“What you believe in will unfold as believed.”
If Cale said something would happen, it usually did. That was simply how things worked for him.
His eyes gleamed.
“This way, it won’t be taken away—”
Raon, On, and Hong quietly distanced themselves from Clopeh.
Even Choi Han followed them.
-----
P/R Thoughts: Cale prepares to act as both invader and savior of the Demon World—while Clopeh quietly ensures that every legend, cult, and miracle belongs to Cale alone.
