Chapter 352: Under the Sun, In the Shadows (3)
What is Earth 3?
Cale and Alberu came to the conclusion that it was a gray area.
Not Earth 1, where Kim Rok Soo had lived, nor Earth 2, where Cale was sent by the Sealed God for a test — or anything quite like them. And not Nameless World 1, where Cale currently lived.
Earth 3 was somewhere in between. A world where science had advanced far beyond others, to the point of creating games like RMPAG.
For Cale and Alberu, Earth 3 was neither here nor there — a place caught between worlds.
A world with weapons powered by energy — like Taerang — so it was hard to say it had no mana or aura.
Also, even though it’s called ‘Earth 3’, there’s no Korea there.
There’s only ‘Roan’ instead.
So, I’m curious.
Cale was curious about what kind of world Earth 3 was.
Whoosh—!
Cale opened his eyes, black light still flickering in the surroundings, and found himself in a large space completely sealed off with cement — except for a single entrance door.
Wooong—
He pulled the mirror from his pocket.
– You have arrived safely. Cheer up.
The God of Death’s message flashed on the surface.
Cale read it, then slipped the mirror back into his pocket.
“Hm. This place feels... a bit strange.”
He looked toward Rosalyn as he heard her voice.
“For the temple of the God of the Sun, it’s quite... hmm, empty.”
Alberu, his gaze skimming the bare space — no altar, no ornaments, nothing — spoke disinterestedly.
“Still, it’s better than nothing.”
“Yes.”
Rosalyn turned her gaze to Cale.
“The Earth 3 World isn’t responding, right?”
“Yes.”
The God of Death said that he couldn’t contact the Earth 3 World.
It was different from the state of Aipotu’s disappearance. In the case of Earth 3, he said that the world itself refused to respond and ignored communications.
“Didn’t that one join the God of Chaos?”
At Alberu’s question, Cale nodded his head.
“It’s possible.”
Not all Worlds could be hostile to Hunters.
Perhaps there are Worlds that are responding to Hunters and have joined the God of Chaos.
“Hmm. It seems we can’t expect help from the World.”
Cale nodded his head at Rosalyn’s words.
“Human, but it’s good! The God of Sun helped us!”
Raon flapped his wings and spoke bravely.

📝 Translator’s Note:
"Sun God" was used in earlier translations, but to match the naming style in Trash of the Count’s Family (e.g., God of Death, God of Balance), I’ll be using "God of Sun" from now on.
Same deity—just a more consistent title.
Thanks for understanding!
------
Cale remembered the message the God of Death had sent him.
- Fortunately, there is a God who has left a mark on Earth 3.
That entity was the God of Sun.
Cale glanced at Alberu.
Alberu responded with a small smile.
Taerang.
The white spear—Alberu’s weapon—originally belonged to Ahn Roh Man.
Choi Jung Gun had stolen it.
He then passed it on to an entity named Angelina.
Now, its current owner was Alberu.
‘And Angelina is the God of Sun.’
The God of Sun extended a hand to Earth 3.
- The God of Sun has created a dimensional displacement portal in her temple.
Probably, all of this was to steal the spear Taerang.
Cale shrugged.
“Maybe it’s a good thing.”
They obtained a space to create a portal that would allow travel between Earth 3, Aipotu, and Roan.
“It means we have a passage to move around without worrying about this world or Ahn Roh Man.”
At Cale’s words, Rosalyn thought for a moment and opened her mouth.
“Hmm. Are we going to go see Ahn Roh Man?”
They came to Earth 3 without telling Ahn Roh Man.
Since he was a suspicious guy, they didn’t want him to know about this passage.
Maybe he could have even interfered.
While Cale was lost in thought, Alberu pulled out Taerang.
“We intend to go find him. But maybe he’ll come first. If Taerang appears on Earth 3, it’s possible that Ahn Roh Man will receive a signal.”
As the scientific technology of Earth 3 was highly developed, neither Alberu nor Cale could give a hasty answer.
“Anyway, let’s go up.”
Cale pointed to the only entrance door.
“The God of Sun said this place was her temple, but since it was a space for dimensional displacement, she said it was fully prepared for it.”
“Did they say it was an Earth 3 adaptation team?”
“Yes. They said it was prepared for those who would be transferred to Earth 3 to easily adapt.”
Cale, thinking that the God of Sun was quite meticulous, grabbed the doorknob.
“Human, I think the God of Sun is way better than that God of Death, who has nothing!”
Wooong.
The mirror trembled slightly, but Cale ignored it.
“You’re not wrong.”
“Hehe! Of course, I’m not—I’m naturally accurate and intelligent!”
“……”
“But, Human! Why won’t the door open?”
“…”
Cale kept walking in silence.
“Haha—”
Alberu chuckled and casually placed a hand on Cale’s shoulder.
“Move aside.”
“Yes.”
Cale stepped back, glancing down at his still-weak hands.
“Hmm.”
Alberu paused as well—but unlike Cale, he had never stopped training.
“Hrrgh—”
He leaned against the door with his shoulder and pushed hard.
Creeeak—
The solid iron door slowly opened.
At that moment, Rosalyn said.
“Mana is being used correctly.”
Wooong—
A red mana seemed to burn and ripple around Rosalyn’s hand.
Cale looked outside and spoke.
“Let’s go up.”
Outside there was a hallway and an elevator.
“Ah.”
Cale let out a chuckle.
‘Earth 3.’
It’s also Earth.
Cale, with a gesture, stepped into the elevator, while his companions looked bewildered.
He was curious to see what the temple the God of Sun had prepared would be like.
“…!”
Suddenly, he stopped.
“Human, what’s wrong?”
“Cale. What are these numbers?”
“Young Master, how does this work?”
Cale’s gaze was fixed on the elevator number panel and wouldn’t move.
“…4th basement, 20th floor.”
To be exact, it was a 25-story building—including a basement that served as an air-raid shelter.
Gulp.
Cale swallowed unconsciously.
Earth 3, a mix of Earth and Nameless 1. The arrangement the God of Sun had prepared for them to adapt.
“Let’s go to the 1st floor.”
Ding-!
They arrived on the 1st floor.
“Wow!”
Like Raon’s exclamation, a wide and luxurious lobby caught Cale’s attention. A stylish and luxurious interior, like what you see on the 1st floor of a hotel or a shopping mall, caught his eye.
“Have you arrived?”
A middle-aged woman with a neat appearance was there.
The woman, who evoked the image of a businesswoman, was alone at the information desk in the lobby on the 1st floor, and she approached Cale and bowed.
“It’s an honor to serve you.”
Not to Cale, but to Alberu.
Her appearance was very respectful.
“The God of Sun said that important people would come.”
She raised her head and smiled.
“I am Choi Seon-hee, who serves the God of Sun on Earth 3. I have been taking care of this temple, the Sun Building, for generations.”
Gulp.
Cale swallowed.
Alberu, glancing at him, said,
“This is Cale Henituse, the leader of this group. Treat them all like you treat me.”
“I understand.”
The middle-aged woman pointed to the elevator.
“Would you mind continuing the conversation in the office prepared on the top floor?”
“Okay.”
Alberu nodded his head without hesitation, and they headed back to the elevator.
Looking from the lobby, there were quite a few elevators.
Choi Seon-hee explained.
“There is only one elevator that goes to the 5th basement, to the air-raid shelter. And that elevator is the only one that reaches the top floor, the 25th floor. Only you, and those you authorize, can use it.”
Raon patted Cale on the shoulder, who was stunned.
“Human, why are you so dazed?”
“…Isn’t it… the God of Sun won’t be that—”
Cale mumbled in a daze and followed Raon at a slow pace.
Choi Seon-hee wasn’t surprised at all at the sight of Raon.
“Then, let’s go up.”
She simply smiled and spoke kindly, but professionally. And the elevator went up.
“!”
“…!”
“Wow, wow!”
The elevator headed to the top floor, and one of its sides was glass, so you could see the scenery outside.
Rosalyn and Alberu.
The eyes of the two widened.
“…It’s definitely a different world.”
You could see countless buildings, wide roads, cars, and other devices that ran on steam. For Rosalyn, everything was new.
It was a dazzling world.
“Ah—”
And Alberu marvelled. He had experienced Earth, of course.
As the Dark Tiger.
That’s why, he marvelled even more.
Earth, that hasn’t collapsed, is like this.
By using Taerang, he had a vague idea of the technology of Earth 3. But, literally, this place was paradise.
A different world, but developed.
He didn’t mean to say that Roan was backward. Each world develops differently. However, Alberu saw many things on Earth 3 that he wanted to bring to Roan.
His curiosity and greed were aroused.
Ding!
The elevator reached the top floor, and the door opened. Choi Seon-hee, who got out first, pointed to a wide space.
“This is the office.”
It was a huge space that only contained an office.
“Wow!”
Raon exclaimed and quickly got out of the elevator. Rosalyn and Alberu got out after, with serious expressions.
And Cale.
“Choi Seon-hee-nim?”
“Call me Secretary Choi.”
Suddenly, he came to his senses.
“!”
“Hmm.”
And Rosalyn and Alberu stopped.
Cale’s eyes shone brightly.
“Secretary Choi. Ah, my name is Cale Henituse.”
“Yes. Cale-nim.”
Choi Seon-hee went to the only desk in the center of the wide office. Cale, who was next to her, asked.
“Is this the capital of Roan?”
“That’s right.”
“And is this like the heart of the capital?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
The arrangement the God of Sun had prepared for adaptation.
“The building is completely empty.”
“Yes, that’s right.”
A tall building located in the heart of the city.
But it was completely empty.
Cale thought.
The God of Sun… has good taste.
Earth.
He knew very well what was needed to adapt well there. Earth 1, Earth 2, or Earth 3. In the end, isn’t it Earth?
Actually, no matter where you go, the most important thing you need is one thing.
“Secretary Choi.”
“Yes.”
“What is your heritage like?”
It was at that moment.
A smile appeared on Secretary Choi’s lips.
“It seems you are in charge, Cale-nim.”
With those words, she stopped and pointed to the desk.
The tablet that was on top of it.
“On it are all the records of ㈜ Sun’s assets.”
Ah!
Cale let out a laugh that sounded like a cry of surprise.
“Wow.”
He was truly amazed.
“The God of Sun knows how to do things.”
It’s not just heritage, but the assets of ㈜ Sun.
Inside that tablet, there must surely be enough assets to afford to have a building in the heart of the capital, empty.
“Hmm.”
Cale looked at Alberu.
“Your Highness. Come here and authenticate yourself.”
“Eh?”
“It seems you will have to do fingerprint identification.”
Cale smiled as he handed the tablet to Alberu.
“It seems the God of Sun wants to help Your Highness?”
Alberu, with a strange expression, unlocked the tablet, and Cale, glancing at Secretary Choi, asked bluntly.
“Secretary Choi. What was your original position?”
Secretary Choi looked at Cale.
Cale, for his part, didn’t look at her and focused on the tall buildings outside.
“If it’s ㈜ Sun, the majority shareholder will be the God of Sun. And if it’s the person who manages it—”
Cale’s gaze slid over to Secretary Choi.
She smiled.
“I am the one who holds the position of director of ㈜Sun.”
Choi Seon-hee, director of ㈜Sun.
“Also, I am the one who manages the fortune the God of Sun has accumulated. However, the Sun Building is not owned by ㈜ Sun, but by the God of Sun. The tablet also specifies the God of Sun’s personal assets. In the case of personal assets, Alberu-nim can use them freely.”
Hmm.
Cale heard Alberu’s groan.
“Check it yourself.”
Alberu, with a subtle smile, checked the tablet that had been handed to him, and Cale opened his mouth.
“We have to change our plans.”
The corner of his lips moved.
“Ah—”
In the end, Cale,
“Hahaha—”
He burst into laughter.
“The God of Sun is really rich.”
The arrangement the God of Sun had prepared for them to adapt to Earth 3.
It was an investment company and an immense fortune.
Also, there was also the director of that company.
“She is the best.”
The God of Sun is the best.
Wooong.
He ignored the complaints of the God of Death that were in his pocket.
“Where is the headquarters of ㈜ Sun?”
“It’s a company specializing in investments, so it’s not known to the public. But among those involved in management, it’s known as a great power.”
Good.
An unknown great power.
“As for personal assets, it will be among the top ten on Earth, Roan.”
A rich man who is among the top ten in terms of personal money.
“Hyung-nim.”
Cale, with a cheerful smile, pointed to the chair for Alberu. The only chair in front of the desk.
“Sit down.”
And he pointed to the sofa in front of Rosalyn.
He, for his part, walked to the window and opened his mouth. In his hand, he still had the tablet.
“Secretary Choi.”
“Yes.”
“Ahn Roh Man. What is the current situation of the president in his third term?”
Choi Seon-hee answered without hesitation.
“It’s not good.”
“How many terms can you have here?”
“Four.”
“Chances of re-election?”
“There are none. Also, his political life is also declining.”
Ho.
Cale raised the corner of his lips. He hadn’t seen that aspect in Ahn Roh Man until now. Rather, by his appearance, he seemed to have quite a bit of political influence.
“…His political life is declining?”
Alberu’s expression, as he mumbled, turned strange.
“But he’s a beloved president. Until a month ago, he was the most likely candidate for the next presidency. It’s just that people think it’s time for a change.”
Choi Seon-hee politely informed Alberu.
“Who do they think should be the change?”
Rosalyn, who was listening intently, asked a timely question.
“The honorary president of ㈜ Transparent. He has expressed his desire to run for president.”
Rosalyn, Alberu, and Cale.
The three looked at each other.
“The president, he’s like a king, right?”
When Rosalyn asked again.
Alberu and Cale nodded their heads.
“Ah.”
Rosalyn, with a brief exclamation of surprise, said.
“This situation is interesting!”
Her expression, as she smiled mischievously, seemed amused.
“All three have the same face!”
As Raon said, Alberu and Cale’s expressions were similar to hers.
“All three have bright eyes!”
Cale looked down, at the cityscape.
“The considerable fortune the God of Sun has provided us will not only help us adapt more easily to Earth 3, but it will also help us attract the people we need.”
They needed an expert in game systems.
Cale had the money to offer a reward worthy of the expert, a fortune that surpassed the expectations of his opponent.
“…The power that is fading.”
And he learned about the current situation of Ahn Roh Man.
This was thanks to Choi Seon-hee, who had been prepared by the God of Sun. They were able to easily obtain information without relying on Ahn Roh Man.
Because the great power of investments is on our side.
“Wow.”
Money and information.
They already have in their hands what they need most to adapt to modern society.
Alberu’s low voice reached Cale’s ears.
“This changes things.”
“That’s right.”
Rosalyn nodded in agreement.
Alberu and Rosalyn.
The two don’t know this world well.
They looked at the elevator curiously and were uncomfortable with the tablet.
But they know the essence of what they’ve obtained.
Because they have been at the center of power.
“Secretary Choi.”
“Yes.”
“Where is the president’s residence?”
Cale asked a question, and before hearing the answer, he asked another.
“Has ㈜ Sun ever invested in ㈜ Transparent? Or is it possible to contact the person in charge of that area?”
Fighting and destroying is fun.
It seems we’re going to do a lot of that in the virtual reality of New World.
But it seems we’re going to have a different kind of fight on this Earth 3.
“The human is smiling strangely! Rosalyn, who is kind, and the intelligent Crown Prince, are also the same!”
Raon’s exclamation sounded like cheerful music, and Cale felt happy.
“…Long live the God of Sun.”
The mirror trembled more as he heard his murmur, but he ignored it.

Proofreader's Thoughts 💭:
Earth 3: where gods play CEO and tech meets magic — Cale’s got a new playground, and it’s about to get wild.
------
TL Note:
㈜ (주식회사) = the Korean equivalent of “Inc.” or “Corp.”So:
→ ㈜ Transparent literally means “Transparent Inc.”
→ ㈜ Sun means “Sun Inc.”, with “Sun” likely referring to the God of Sun in context.
